Bastard Of The Skies are currently putting together their third album to date at Full Stack Studio which is now at the mixing stage, and finally being handed over to James Plotkin (Khanate, OLD, Phantomsmasher, Scorn) for mastering, whilst Undersmile‘s debut album entitled “Narwhal” recorded at Studio 101 in Kidlington by Jimmy Hetherington and due to be mastered by Billy Anderson (Eyehategod, Sleep, Neurosis, The Melvins) both are pencilled in to be released on the 9th April 2012, plans are currently in the making for both bands to tour the UK.

The album was written, recorded, mixed and mastered by Catten himself over the course of late 2010 to early 2011 resulting in a disturbingly dark amalgam of experimental noise and sumptuous classical compositions, recalling the likes of Ben Frost’s acclaimed By The Throat album and Brian Reitzell’s soundtrack for 30 Days Of Night.

Limited to 200 copies, hand printed on an original Victorian letterpress in a gatefold sleeve and is available now for £7 + shipping from our Big Cartel Store.

Paul Catten – on his Damnation appearance.

“After listening to the Medulla Nocte albums for the first time in many years, I knew I had to play these songs one last time. A Man Called Catten is a tribute to this material, and my chance to do them justice…playing them as they were meant to be played; live, fast and very loud. I’m ecstatic to be able to perform them at Damnation where I have great memories from previous performances, and this is the one and only time you will hear a set comprising of nothing but Nocte tracks.
